On April 30, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission officially approved the Phase II expansion project of the Zhuhai LNG project in Guangdong, marking a significant step towards the construction of the Zhuhai LNG Phase II project.
The Guangdong Zhuhai LNG project is divided into two phases. Phase I was completed and put into operation in 2013, with a receiving capacity of 3.5 million tons/year. According to relevant staff, after the completion of Phase II, the annual receiving capacity is expected to reach 7 million tons/year. At the same time, Phase II will also construct 5 270,000 cubic meter full-capacity concrete storage tanks, 3 gasification and export pipelines, and 2 sets of BOG compressors. The project investment is approximately 1 billion yuan. In terms of the wharf, it will share a wharf with Phase I, with a handling capacity of 80,000 to 270,000 cubic meters of transport vessels. According to project staff, after the completion and commissioning of Phase II, the gasification and export capacity of Zhuhai LNG will be enhanced. At that time, the length of its inter-city pipeline will reach nearly 300 kilometers, and its LNG truck-loading plus pipeline supply capacity will increase from 5.2 billion cubic meters/year to 10.2 billion cubic meters/year.
On May 7, our company received a notice from Zhuhai Hongda Electric Power Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. regarding the bidding for 12 sets of construction transformer substations for the Zhuhai LNG Phase II project. We immediately started production. In order to complete the production task on time, with quality, and in quantity, our company made every effort to organize manpower and material resources for the production task. After 10 days of hard work, the first batch of transformer substations were successfully delivered on May 17.
